We are pleased to announce that South Downs National Park Trust has joined 1% for the Planet as an environmental partner! This partnership is intended to advance our impact as well as involve more businesses in the environmental movement across the world.

1% for the Planet is an accountability partner for businesses that are ready to give back to environmental partners making a difference to nature around the globe. Started in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies, their members have given hundreds of millions of dollars to environmental partners to date.
Across the globe 1% for the Planet is a network of more than 6,000 business members and thousands of environmental partners in more than 90 countries. Members make support directly to approved environmental partners, identifying which to support through various tools and services offered by 1% for the Planet.
South Downs Trust is looking forward to support from members to help with our ReNature campaign – to achieve our goal of seeing 33% of the South Downs National Park managed for nature by 2030.
Co-founder Yvon Chouinard writes:
“The intent of 1% for the Planet is to help fund these diverse environmental organizations so that collectively they can be a more powerful source in solving the world’s problems”
