One of our most recent Visitor Giving Partners - Spirit of the Downs is a multi-award winning business producing artisan Sussex brandies & grape spirits.
Spirit of the Downs has launched its new and delicious Wild Stork Gin, made with locally sourced and foraged botanicals. The gin was officially launched at the distillery in December 2025 and is also available at the visitor centre at Seven Sisters Country Park and their well-stocked online shop.

Sales of this new spirit will help to protect the National Park and create new havens for nature, as 50p per sale of each bottle will go towards the South Downs Trust, the official charity of the National Park. (image credit – Spirit of the Downs)
Michael Yeoman, CEO and Founder of Spirit of the Downs said:
We’re based in Bolney, which overlooks the National Park where most of the vineyards that we work with are based and have won 13 international awards for our range of grape based spirits.
Yeoman explains that sustainability is at the heart of this local business:
Our spirits are made with sustainability in mind, typically using pressed grapes from the finest small-batch sparkling wine producers. ‘Leave No Trace’ is one of my fundamental life and business principles minimising our impact on the planet.
Sustainability is clear throughout the entire creation process, the distillery has installed solar panels, implemented a water recycling system, and works closely with local suppliers to reduce mileage. Even production waste is repurposed to fertilise the apple orchard at Trenchmore Farm.
The South Downs Trust is delighted to have the support of Spirit of the Downs and looks forward to watching this flourishing collaboration grow and evolve.
